Are you running a body lift?

Sorry, not sorry to bring up another BL topic. I want specifics.

How many other modifications must I be aware of...? Radiator bracket, shift cable linkage ext, rear bumper, rock sliders will all have to extended.

How many members run a BL with a winch? How serious are we potentially hurting our vehicles winching with BLs?

What about skid plates and exhaust system?


The reason I am contemplating is because so far I don't think I'm satisfied with 285/75/16 tires.

not a normal body lift though, the pucks taper in size from 0" in the back to 3" up front. It works nicely.

No 1.5" body lift love?

1.5" 4crawler BL w/steering spacer.

I just removed my radiator lower shroud and it doesnt hit after body lift.

No bumper bracket since I have aftermarket bumper but needed up front on stock bumper

Rear bumper lifts with body if stock bumper.

Shifter linkage just needs adjusted.

Winching is from the frame. Not the body so body lift dont madder.

I am running a 2" Bodylift right now, make sure you use Grade 8 hardware. Your not gonna rip your cab off winching off the bumper that is attached to the FRAME.

What size body lift are you anticipating? 2" should clear you for 35" tires. Toytec's lift comes with everything you need except for bumper relocation brackets.

Alot of people go with Roger Brown's lift because he has the whole kit for about 165$ for a 2 inch lift including bumper relocation brackets, radiator extension brackets, steering linkage extension. If you go higher than a 2inch then you will need to work on extending lines and other things.

It's all what your main goal is. If you do 35s you will probably want to get bigger gears too.

the main thing is that once you do the body lift, any sort of weld on part will have to be cut off if you want to change the ammount of lift. as far as winching from a bumper, you may want to weld the bumper to the frame at that point or at least have it reinforced, or try to lower the winch fairlead. ideally it would come out at the same level as the frame rails.

Don't need a radiator drop bracket for a 2". All I used was a steering spacer and it works perfectly.
