Are you running boots?

How many of us on here are running shock and strut boots? I have always wondered about the usage of them and some people use them and others don't. I like the look of them but not sure it they are practical since they are not metal like a lot of shocks or plastic even. I used to run them on other 4x4 but not sure on the 4runner!

They are nice if you live where they put salt on the roads in the winter. The strut body looks nice much longer when not covered in salt 1/2 the year.

Which makes me wonder if they are really needed or not?
