Hello, All!
My name is Matt. I picked up a new-to-me '09 SR5 Monday evening (20OCT14). I live up in Alaska, and enjoy the typical outdoor stuff. I am a bike riding fanatic. I'm married (going on 6 years), have three pups (2 black labs, and a three legged Italian Greyhound), and a black cat.
I have an off road background from living in Las Vegas, NV.
I built up an '08 FJ a couple years back, and replaced her with a Subaru STi... that decision ate at my soul literally everyday for the past 15-months- until Monday that is!
I looked long and hard for a Gen IV 4R before finding my clean titled "low mile" (65K) Argentum for a price that wasn't "Alaska Priced." Well, actually it was, but I got the seller to come down 2K to bring the price to the NADA 20.1K value. FYI- People up here think they're stuff is made of gold ( for a good laugh simply go to Craigslist and see the prices people are asking for their stuff).
I look forward to building this truck and driving her for years to come. I am hoping there are awesome tricks like on the FJ to learn (how all FJs are wired the same in Japan making "plug and play" upgrades possible). Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.
