ARK Camping Trip/Superlift OHV Repost

Just reposting this over here, hopefully it will get it on more peoples radars

My buddy and I are planning on going up to lake DeGray in Arkansas for a camping trip when we get out of school. Thursday May 12th is our last day so we were planning on camping that Thursday and Friday night, according to google maps it's exactly one hour from the lake to Superlift, if anybody wanted to use this as a jump off point. Anybody up for it?

I've been wanting to get out there. I'd stick to the 1's and maybe some 2's (never done much off road, so want to get a feel for it). Only problem is scheduling, I've got graduation on the 14th so may not make it. I'll have a new suspension setup on by next weekend, wouldn't mind giving it a run.
 
Yeah man, I understand. We get out on the 12th and have a graduation party on the 14th, so I'll only be able to stay Thursday and Friday night. And my rig is pretty much stock, so only ones and access roads for me
 
I will not know for certain until closer to time, but I'd be all for meeting up with you on the 13th. I'll have to see if I can get that day off, shouldn't be a problem but we're shorthanded so can't say for sure. I'm gonna have about a 2.5/1.5 lift on by then, but still not interested in much more than the basic trails for the first trip out.
 
Also, noticed you've got the Toytec spacer listed for your future mods. I *should* have mine taken out by next weekend when the new suspension is installed, if I'm able to make this I'll make you a deal on the 1" spacers (been on mine for about a year).
 
I posted it up in General Discussions, not very many people saw it. The only person i heard back from over there was berettashot117, so I figured I'd just move it over here since he has a 4th gen as well, just wanna make sure people see this

Yea, I never check there, glad you posted here! Let me make sure all goes as planned with the suspension swap and I'll get back with you. Several of us talked about doing this a month or two ago, I'll have to dig around to see if I can find that thread and maybe get some more in on this. Are you familiar with the trails at all? What time would you get up there on Thursday?

Never been to superlift, but if i leave Shreveport at 4 i can be at DeGray around 7:30, the only reason i chose this spot is because i've camped here before and it's super clean, plus, i really dont wanna drive that extra hour on a mountain road at night
 
Aight. I've never been there either. We should be able to get started early and have most of the day to explore (assuming this weather straightens up). I was thinking about an evening run on Thursday, but not quite enough time for that (doubt I could work that in anyway).
 
Yeah, its an extra hour, hour 15 from I-30 to Hot springs, or, its $10 bucks a night to tent camp at superlift if anyone would rather do that instead
 
I typically work till 6 and am about 1.5 hours from there. I'll more than likely drive up and meet on Friday morning, that is IF I can get off that day.
 
May or may not be able to go to superlift, just checked out their website and unless you have a parent or legal guardian with you you cant get in if your under 18, trying to convince my dad to go. But either way im still down to camp
 
Hmm, may have to try to get something else going then. Just let me know if you get it worked out, I'll just need to know by the 6th so I can request off.
 
Looks like its gonna be camping and fishing only for me this time, anyone else is welcome to attend and hit up superlift as well
