Artec A-Arm Skids

Looking for experiences with Artec A-Arm Skids. Have you installed them? Do you like them? If you have the thicker TRD front skid plate, how did cutting it go? Any issues?

Can't find anything on them as far as installs. Thank you.

I feel like the natural follow up to a arm skids is - what skids should I get to protect those skids?

At some point you should just accept that some part of your truck needs to occasionally scrape actual ground if you're offroading worth a damn, and you could but another 4Runner for the price of all the skids and armorand lost gas you spent trying to put more outside layers on a basic, rugged SUV

Never heard of them. I'm running Icons which are made of steel instead of Alum and look to be cheaper.

Depends on where you drive. Mine got a decent number of dings from bigger rocks.

Those look nice. I bought RCI set and had to notch my TRD skid plate. Not a big deal to notch it. I wasn't worried about rocks as much as I was mud being pumped into the A arm. I drove down a narrow muddy track and got A arms full of mud. The skids will prevent that from happening, plus give a flatter surface to scrape across. I suspect a few dimples would help prevent the suction flat surfaces create though.

Skip the a arm skids. There's no reason to have them. They trap mud and debris and make a great spot for rust. They lower ground clearance. And the a arm is strong enough for anything you can do without breaking the mounting tabs. And the skids won't help with that. It's just wasting money and losing performance. Unless you want them for looks, save your $ for something else.
