AS reed valve and resonator

Does anyone know if you can get rid of this part (AS reed valve and resonator) of the EFI system without cause problems with the rest of the system? Who makes good air filter system for this older runner? Let me know and thank you .

The reed valve and resonator is after the MAF the resonator is that round ball hook to the skinny tube on the air intake it hooks to the AS reed valve under the in take manifold. I have the 22 RE motor and was wondering how to get rid of these components. I think there function is to help in cold weather start up???? I live in Hawaii no cold weather here. Like to replace the intake housing, air filter for these older 4 runners K&N does not have a cold air system are there any others on the market? Hope this makes sense Thank You
