Hi all,
I found a used 2005 Limited 113k miles. Silver, fully loaded with navigation. The car has is in immaculate condition minus one slight tear (about 4 inches long and 1 cm wide on the side of the drivers seat).
The seller is in debt for 5k more of the car after divorcing her late husband. She recently was given a car and has a small son so is not in need of the larger 4runner and doesn't want payments. She basically wants to flip it as soon as possible. She claims the dealer offered her 7k so I offered her 11k for it. Granted, this is in the PNW and you can see by here 4runners don't go cheap at all.

The car has more miles than I was considering but after much contemplation I've decided to pull the trigger, once the title is transferred at the bank it would then be in my name and nothing would be carried over from her.
She used a local mechanic who I called without her knowing (she also sent me invoices of her last repair, which was a full front and back brake caliper and pads, also fixed the rear air suspension). The mechanic verified that she had the timing belt changed in January of *EDIT* (not 04 I mean '14 )and the car had 104k miles then. He also said that the customer always said yes to every recommended maintenance, whether it was fluids, to coolant--full service everytime.
The VIN pulls up a clean carfax and report from toyota.com. The first owner was a toyota marketing manager who put a ton of miles on it at first, (30k in 1 year), second owner had it for 11 months and only put 9k miles on it and then got it repossessed, current owner has had it for 7 years and shows consistent maintenance checks.
The brake check/repair happened in February of this year and the owner claims she hasn't driven the car in at least 3 weeks because the gas milage and her current financial state. The mechanic said no other repairs were needed and reiterated that the owner always heeded his guidance.
I guess what I'm asking is before I pull the trigger is there anything I've missed? BTW Differentials have been replaced as well as tires are less than 5 months old.

) and the trouble spots I encountered were the shocks (I consider this normal wear), torn ball joint boots, and seized alignment cams. Even if those were all problems on this one I still think you'd be getting quite a deal. Good find!
