The ASL (Automatic Sound Leveliser) on my stereo does not work despite the setting (low, medium or high).

Anyone else has this problem and knows how to address it.

Now that you mention it, mine doesn't seem to do much either. I just assumed it was too weak and that I couldn't tell that it was on, even when set to high sensitivity.

In my wife's Honda Civic, it works very obviously.

My 2 pennies...

The "Medium" setting seems to be more noticeable than the "high" setting.

Are you adjusting while driving? I am not a expert in the subject but I think that you have to be moving to notice a difference.

The ASL (Automatic Sound Leveliser) is a setting on the stereo that automatically increase the sound volume as the vehicle increases its speed to compensate for additional road noise. If you go to the stereo setting you will find it.

Mine does not work period, and yes you are correct you will notice as you start driving and increase your speed.

We have Camry and it works quite well.

What stereo do you guys have installed? When it came to the Party Mode feauture, there was a big difference with the stock stereo and little if any difference with the JBL system.

Might be the same with ASL.

I have the TE and it comes with Type B stero.

Accoring to manual there are 4 types
A - has no memory if discunnected.
B - slightly different than A with memory
C - same as B with multi CD load
D - with Nav (this is the JBL one)
