At 250k Miles, This Suspension is Killing Me

Before you spend your money on the rear suspension.. have you done a maintenance history check to see if your vehicle was ever maintenanced for the "Rear Suspension Re-call" in 2002 at a Toyota Dealer?? I just came across it in another thread..

I definitely need to look into this.

I picked up an 02' sport 2wd earlier this year, was a bit neglected by a female friend who parked it after she got an FJ. Got a bargain on it and now after brakes, tires and some other little things the suspension is way, way past their lifespan. 244k miles right now.

You can get complete strut assemblies from completestruts.com, a front pair for the 4Runner is around $120. Anyone ever got struts from here? Those with a possible factory 'recall' would be very helpful to my wallet. I got it to haul bikes and kind of turned it into a dd.




Need to find some brackets to reattach a fender flare, and TRAC OFF and VAC TRAC dash lights are on. An o2 sensor is the only thing that pinged on diagnostics though.

Well it was worth a try...
