Yeah those brackets are crazy expensive from ARB. If you don't have the means to make your own brackets I would take it to a local metal fabrication shop to get an estimate.
My bumper had been in a front end collision with a van at about 40mph when i bought it. The bumper itself only had a dent in the middle but the crush points on the brackets were destroyed. I took them to a local fab shop to have them cut the bad sections out and weld in some pieces of 2"x1.5" tube I had laying around from another project. I tried to do it myself but I had just slipped a disk the week before and my back couldn't take the work. Cost was about 100 though but still much cheaper than 2 new brackets from ARB

Really? I just talked with a rep. via email and he said that it would cost $400. I did not specify "just bracket" but instead said "mounting hardware." Do the bolts really cost that much!? If thats all that the brackets are going to cost I'll email him back and ask. Thanks.

Scrape on the front
Some rubbing on the body from the previous mount
Little rust on the winch mounting plate. Ill grind it down and re-weld.
All in all, not bad if I can manage to mount it without paying more than a new one.

That's not bad at all. I had a guy try and sell me one in worse condition than that with no mounting brackets for $500 and told me I could get then for $20. It also had stickers everywhere and some decent rust. Then again, he was a Jeep guy that bought it for his Cherokee and thought it would fit hahaha

I was told close to the price you quoted when I called about the brackets. I got my hardware from a local bolt shop for about $3. Grade 8 bolts.

Getting closer to mounting the ARB
Just primed and painted the inside of the ARB and my new rear bumper. Some time this week I'll take it to the local fab shop to have some brackets made and mounted.
Slow progress but moving along for sure.

Got some parts from the pick and pull today. I picked up a radiator cause I'm surprised mine still holds coolant. Also got a blower motor for my a/c cause mine shook the whole dash when it was on high. When I took it out to replace I found this
So now there is a very disappointed squirrel in Massachusetts and I have an extra blower motor if anybody wants for free.

Thanks.
They made the brackets and welded them to the frame. The bumper bolts on though so when put on a body lift, I'll be able to drill new holes and adjust the bumper.

12V outlets installed
I was bored today so I decided to install 2 extra 12V outlets since mine only came with one. I plan on installing an OEM wall plug in the future. Not necessary to go over the install since I'm sure it has been done and my wiring is nothing short of embarrassing:barf: Still waiting to get a Deep Sea fuse block.

Maint update
Replaced the front passenger side differential seal today. I noticed after I got home yesterday that I could smell gear oil. When I went outside today, I noticed a nice little oily chocolate milk puddle under where the CV axle connects to the front differential. Parts weren't very expensive and the dealership actually had the seals in stock. I bought to of each just incase. Wasn't able to separate the CV axle from the hub and consequently couldn't remove the hub from the spindle. Ended up removing the 4 bolts from the lower ball joint and pulling it back far enough to tap the CV axle from the differential assembly. Huge PITA!!! Tons of rust. OH WELL! I'll just keep working until its all gone. I did fork out the money for the Tundra rotors today so those should be going on tomorrow. I'll try to take pics.
