I want to paint my exhaust tip too....what paint did you use? How many coats? And tips or advice before i dive in?

I used rust oleum 2x ultra cover but I would recommend using high heat paint. I did like 4 coats. Tape off with plastic wrap around the exhaust tip.

I didn't but some have. I've done 2 other cars with the high heat and haven't had any issues

1st Off Road Adventure

Headed up to Charlie's Creek today and got the chance to test out some of the capabilities of Quicksilver. It was my 1st real off road trip. Favorite part was definitely the river crossing.

Picked up a cheap alloy SR5 rim to replace my stock spare rim. Before replacing it, I painted it black with Rustoleum 2X Ultra Cover.

Yes I did. For about 7 months.

So while the car was in the shop getting repaired from a small accident, I got the mirror caps, front lower valance and middle bar, and fender flares painted matte black. I love the silver and black contrast.

Looks good man. I have a 2013 Trail and keep going back and forth between the fn Pro (TRD look-a-likes) or leaving my stock Trail wheels since the color goes well with the silver body....but your rig looks sharp with the black wheels.

I live in Cumming (west side) but am frequently in Alpharetta and Johns creek. I don't feel like I see many non-stock rigs but I'll keep an eye out for you. Mainly see the same 2 XP package SR5s almost daily. I did just see a white '14-17 with a lift and the Gobi rack this weekend.

I'm not on FB or I'd join that group. Wish the Georgia sub-forum was a little more active.

There is a lot of debate about which LED bulb to replace the stock reverse lights with. I decided to go with the FlashWolves 921 1000 Lumens 6000k Xenon White ones from Amazon. I will post pictures soon.
