So I am anxious to get my Stellar Blue Sport grille shipped to me. I am lowering the price of this OEM Sport hood to $150. You are getting a complete Sport hood for the price of the scoop insert! I don't know how to make this deal any better than that.

I agree that if your 4Runner is one of the six colors listed above that you should wait for a Sport hood that is color-matched.

For anyone else you just need to get a Sport hood in any color and have it painted to match your 4Runner.

Keep in mind that the scoop insert and associated parts costs $150 from Toyota. This means that you are getting an OEM Sport hood (without the scoop insert) for $45 plus the cost of gas, a box, and some bubble wrap! Again, you are getting a complete Sport hood, but I wanted to break it down for you so that you will see that you cannot lose on this deal. I will cover the actual shipping cost for sending the grille to Texas.

Toyota produced Sport hoods for 3rd Gens in 6 different colors, one of which was Imperial Jade Mica - this is the only color green that you see for an OEM Sport hood. If your color isn't Imperial Jade Mica the Sport hood won't match the paint on your 4Runner, but obviously it will be closer than the other 5 colors (blue, red, black, silver, and gray).

If you are waiting for an OEM Sport hood with original paint in a green color other than Imperial Jade Mica you will never find one.

Just for the record, I'm a Texas Aggie and not a Buckeye fan, but it made me laugh that your list of states included all of the old school Big 10 states (from when "10" was the actual number of schools in the conference) and left out Ohio... just an observation.

So basically I am selling this OEM Sport hood for $45 if you take into account the cost of a new scoop insert from Toyota. If you are within a 2-hour drive of Cincinnati you won't find a better deal. This should include people close to the ohio border in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Indiana.

If someone is close you could buy it for $195 and eventually sell it for between $340 and $380.

Even if you didn't want the Sport hood you could buy this and probably sell it for $375 in the next month. That is not a bad profit margin. Toyota isn't making Sport hoods anymore. These are rare and becoming even more rare.
