Probably going to order the Magnaflow catback at some point, since the 14" Magnaflow muffler on it now has too much drone for the wife. The stock muffler is gone, besides I won't throw the garbage can stock muffler on it anyways, way too restrictive, plus the stock pipes I don't believe are stainless since they're very rusty, going to check it for leaks soon to see if that's a cause of the drone, the flange after the muffler connecting the tailpipe looks like it could be leaking since it's so rusty.
Anywho I figure i'll fix all that with the catback. I've heard some complain about drone with it, but going from my 14" muffler and no resonator to the 22" in the catback should be whisper quiet in comparison.
My question to all those that have it (the V8 catback, if it's a different number than the V6), is what size is the piping? Some sites say it's 2.5" but my work's website (where I would order it for $455) and also Magnaflow's own site list it as 3". That's another reason I want it, i'd go from rusty 2.5" pipe to stainless, mandrel bent 3" pipe so it should be deeper and flow better, and with the longer muffler have much less drone. So anyone who has the catback on their V8, please let me know what size it actually is.
Also feel free to let me know how you like it and whether or not you think it made any difference as far as performance and/or mileage goes.
