Aurora LED Light Bar

Picked up a light bar after a lot of research and thought. Doc_Fry gave me some ideas, so this is what I ended up with. Aurora 20" LED light bar, sold by Greybull on Amazon for about $210. Osram German LEDs, aluminum housing, deutsche water tight connectors, compete wire harness with loom, military style breather, and GE lexan glass. Thought it was a good price for the features it has. No it's not a Rigid, but I'm a family guy with a budget, and this fits the bill.

I noticed on Auroras website the one for $449.00 the only option is 5w LEDs, the one you posted by greybull list them as 3w LEDs.

Either way it looks nice, show us when you're done.

Didn't notice that before, explains some if the cost difference. Working on the brackets right now. Hoping to have it in by this weekend.

Fabbed up some brackets out of some angle aluminum from HD. Basically made an L bracket at the bottom for support, a 6" or so riser piece, and a horizontal piece up top for the base. Bolted each piece with two bolts, washers, and lock nuts. Secured the base with 5/16" self tappers with washers and lock nuts.

Loos good so far. Still interested in this as I havent seen them first hand to know what ypur overall experience is in the end. I did end up ordering one of my lightbars a 40" curved unit from Desert Rat. Looked hard at the Rigid but in the end the amount of use and for the cost went with the other unit. I still need a 20"-30" so I will keep an eye put on this seemed like from the research it was the best bang for the buck as far as build quality etc. In the Auroras.

Yes, so far I really like how they are put together. I haven't owned one before so I have no frame of reference, only what I have read. But it looks like they use quality stuff, especially for what you pay, and it is HEAVY for what it is. UPS box said 9lbs. I need to take some night pics next. But I can tell you it is bright! I have yet to cut the grill out like what Saker and some other people on here have done. Should get a lot more light out then.

Interested in your night pictures when you get a chance. I am looking at doing the same setup, however I plan to cut the grill.

Finished for now, like I said, trying to put together a clean idea for a surround once cut out.

As promised, here are some output pics. The low beams are 4300k HIDs for reference, highs are the stockers. In order top to bottom: bar itself, bar and highs, highs, lows. Oh and the bright ass star in the sky, is Venus. Pretty cool.

Those of you with Aurora LED light bars are you still happy with them? Any issues with the lens or water intrusion? Looking to buy some value single row lights and these seem to be the best value.
