Auto Dimming Mirror question

I just had my dealer install the auto dimming mirror. It looks great and works great. However, I noticed that the top of the mirror is very close to the edge of the headliner. In fact, if I were to adjust it just a tiny bit more (tilting upward) it would touch the headliner edge. Is this normal due to the size of this mirror?

That is normal. You can adjust that by holding the mirror and pushing the arm that is holding the mirror down. My Sport, which had the mirror installed at the dealer, was not close to the headliner at all. The mirror that came on my Limited was touching the headliner.

Plus, since it's that far up it doesn't get in your field of view. Mine was a bit too low so I raised it to provide a better view of the road.

My sit about an inch and 1/2 from the mirror to the headliner.
