Auto Dimming Mirror

My auto dimming mirror doesn't dim anymore. I checked it for power and it has power. I want another auto dimming mirror but don't know where to go. On ebay all the auto dimming mirrors are the type that go on the windshield. Is there a way to modify or where i can get another at a decent price?

i have also looked for these...i kinda want one thats got temperature and compass etc. but whatever the only ones i could ever find were crappy little windshield stick-ons

maybe mine was added on. It it mounted to the roof like factory but I have never seen another '98 with one. Guess i will go look att ehjunkyard see if there are any roof mounted ones in other cars.

Wow, yours mounts like all other 4Runner's mounts!? Do you think you can look it over and see if it has a brand or some sort of serial number or anything on it!? I would love to get me one but I had no idea there was any that fit without going on the windshield!

yeah i have taken it apart and there is no name. I checked the plug that goes into the circuit board and there is power so I dunno why it stopped. I am going to go the junkyard and see if there is a mirror that I can make work with my existing mount.

I looked at that and It seems like you will just get a button to glue on the windshield to attach the mirror. iw ant to use my exisitng mount coming from the roof.
