Auto dimming Rear mirror option

Is it possible to add the auto dimming Electrochromic rear mirror with Compass?

Yes. I have it on my 2003 Sport. I don't think you can install the Toyota mirror though. I had to buy a generic Gentex from a website and then had the dealer install it. Same mirror but with all the wiring!

I just installed one in our Camry -- bought it from Bob Prim at [email protected]. For a mirror with compass and thermometer, price was $185 delivered. If you want orange LEDs instead of the standard blue, that's $20 more.

These are the same Gentex mirrors as Toyota ports use, I believe.

Very happy with the installation.

Checked with my local dealer they have the mirror in stock at $155.00 will install it for $225 I think I'm going to go with the dealer install since it looks a little more complicated than I thought.

You can call your local dealer. I am sure they have the Gentec mirrors in stock.

You need to call a dealer in the south. They are the only ones offering it as an accessory, which makes it alot cheaper.

The part number for it is in this thread or another thread similarly labeled. I have the part number at home if you don't find it I will post tomorrow. Or visit toyotaparts4u.com and call them for it. I just recently priced it from them at $169.

If you have the part number, can any dealer get the mirror for you, or is it only offered in the south? My dealer in New Jersey said they cannot get it and I have to get it from Gentex which is what I did.

The mirror the dealers are selling is a Gentex.
