So my 02 4runner is having a problem that after searcing I see is somewhat common. The key fob will not lock the doors but it will unlock them, I dont get a beep I just get nothing. I have removed the 30 amp power fuse in the top right corer of the junction box on the driver side. The cold definitely seems to have an effect because it warmed up this weekend and the problem went away but as soon as it cooled down again it was back. I have tried applying pressure to the box and hitting the button and I have yet to try wedging a tee ball in between the box and the door as I saw someone suggest. Also, one thing I have noticed that I havent seen anyone else mention is that the lock button on the door wont work unless the car is turned on, it will work for a few seconds after I turn the car off but after that it ceases to work. I guess my questions are does anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions on this or should I just break down and buy a new junction box. If so where is a good place to get one for a decent price and how specific about the box do i need to be. I searched google and the listings seemed to be non descript.
