Hi, I took apart my 2x4 shifter because the shifting lever was just loose and wobbly. Well, pulled back the rubber boot took out this big ass bolt and the problem is obvious. There's some plastic bushing inserts, two of them, that go on either side of this very large OEM bolt that holds down the base of the shifter, that just disintegrated. The rest of the shifter is FINE! ARE THESE black plastic bushing inserts available?

Im not sure what yours look like exactly but Ive replaced nylon bushings in the shift linkage other vehicles before. Auto parts stores have a small variety of generic nylon bushings that if you get the proper outside diameter you can drill out the inside if they dont have an exact match. If your "plastic" bushings are common in size then it shoul only cost you a couple of bucks to get yourself set up.
