auto to manual transmission swap?

hey have any one every swaped out an auto for a manual transmission in an 88' runner with the 22RE? if so what was it like and do you have pics?

I'm doing the opposite I'm installing an auto trans and removing the 5 speed in a pickup. If you need the trans and transfer case let me know. You may also need to change out the gauge cluster because auto and 5 speeds use different clusters.

Would you know what would be causing my trans to stall the engine when in drive? only in drive not rev? thats the reason im thinking about switching it hahah how much do you think it would cost to shop that to me here in newfoundland canada haha

I did a auto to manual trans a few years back. If your engine is stalling out it is generally the converter is locking when it not suppose to, not necessarily meaning that overdrive is engaging because their are other items that are moving in the converter. If you have any questions about the swap let me know, I will do my best to answer them.
