Auto tranny gear selection issue

hey guys

Ive been searching and reading numerous threads but havent found too much info on this. after driving for a long period of time it seems like its hard to put it into reverse or park. Its gotten to the point where sometimes it wont even shift into park so i tried adjusting the shifter linkage and i thought it worked but the next day the same issue came up. Sometimes itll be difficult to shift it from D to L or 2 and back to park. When driving its smooth. Brake lights are functioning right, no popped fuses.

Is the shifter linkage my problem or selenoids? No cel lights, atf fluid level is good and color is still red. Just drained and filled about 3k ago but not fully flushed; still need to do a couple more cycles of drain and refill to completely change the atf fluid

Whats the proper way to adjust the shifter linkage? Im not even sure if thats my problem or a bad selenoid. I love my rig and was about Order armor and other mods but its getting to the point where my wife wants me to get rid of it

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Are you saying that it's hard to move the shift lever or that the tranny has a hard time getting into the gear you have selected?

Its Hard to move the shifter lever to get it into gear. I spoke with [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION] and he suggested to fine-tune the shift linkage. I just did and it seems ok at the moment. Ill post an update in a couple of days.

No i dont. Ive readjusted it twice so far. Its been about two days since the last time i did it and noticed it was starting to feel a little stiff when shifting through the gears.
