Auto tranny help!

Stranded 2 hrs from home and can't do search on my iPhone.

Here's what happened:
A/t oil temp light came on with burning smell. Pulled over till it went off and limped into next town. Rpms were high given my speed even going very slow. ATF Level was fine but smelled burned. Coolant was low and overflow tube looked like ATF had been in it. Let it cool for 30 mins drove another mile then tranny felt like it wasn't 'catching' anymore. Now I've almost completely lost reverse.

Any ideas what I'm up against? Sorry again for not searching first.

If that's the case I've read if you stop in time you can minimize the damage.

Does it sound like I caught it in time?

What's the worst case scenario in terms of cost to repair?

By the sounds of it that transmission is already toast. I have not looked into it any, but I hear of people getting transmissions for like 500-700 out of wrecked 4runners.. You'll need a new radiator too.
