Yes, auto transmission 4Runners sell well. Most people do not want a stick shift anymore 'cause they don't know how to drive it.

Price range depends on mileage and where you live. Seems like Texas, Colorado, and California yields the highest premiums where place in the North or South are cheaper.

What state do you live in? Here in SoCal I usually see them range from $2000 - $3000 4WD Auto for a good deal from time to time. But typically 4WD Auto are $3000 and up. Not to mention condition, mileage etc. would affect resale value. But typically that’s how much I see them for over here.

Most of the 3rd gens I see for sale in California (skimming through CL) are automatics. The manual ones for sale, the owners treat them like unicorns, and ask laughable prices. I would have preferred a manual, but I don’t want one ad enough to entertain those prices. Besides, my wife doesn’t know how to drive a manual, so an automatic works out well. Typically a 3rd gen with reasonable miles, maintainence and automatic asking realistic prices go very fast. A lot of used car lots stock them as they know they’ll be able to move them quickly.

On a side note, is it just me, or are 3rd gens have been garnering a lot of attention lately in the used car market?

Assuming it's a clean title and had no body damage, you can expect in the $6000 range for one with that low of mileage.

Yes, it is clean and is a socal/arizona car but mostly socal so no issues with salty roads.

We have a 4 cylinder 2wd and thought the enthusiasts would enjoy the 4wd v6 sr5.

Yep. It's nuts up here. It may take a bit longer to actually get $10k, but with patience I promise you it would hit that or real close.

OP, be glad you are on the west coast- rust is a big price changer in the midwest. A clean 3rd gen with 100-150k will get you $5-7k or more here, whereas a rusty-but-salvageable truck (like mine) will only be $1-3k. Big difference.
