Automotive Carpet?

im thinking of building a storage shelf for the trunk on my 4runner and am having a hard time finding carpet for it. it doesnt need to be the exact grey color, but close would be nice. im wanting to put it over the board im gonna have as a storage shelf. any suggestions on where to find this stuff would great

You could try finding a used cargo mat in the color you want. It would be a pretty much perfect match and I'm sure they go pretty cheap at junk yards.

Take a look at marine grade carpet for boats, it's cheap, easy to cut and you only need rubber cement to attach it. You can find it at a boat store, or even at home depot/lowes. You can buy it by the foot.

Go to any auto upholstry shop and ask to buy some of their material. A sale is a sale to them and they have a better selection of materials and colors. They might even give you some install pointers.
