Autostart remote start flaking out. need help

Hi guys,

I just bought a 03 4runner limited, it has a remote start that worked for the first 2 days. now when i do it, it starts runs for 30 seconds shuts off blinks the break lights 3 times and shuts off. some times it starts again but only to shut its self off again. theres no manual with it and ive never had a remote start before.

any help would be awesome and much appreciated.

Sounds like there is no tach signal to the remote start. Try this: Start 4R with the key. Press and hold valet switch(little black momentary button). Led should light solid. Release valet switch. Parking lights should flash. Turn off key. Try remote starting. If that doesn't work could be an other input shutting it down. Check hood pinswitch. Check brake switch. Check tach connection(this might be like finding a needle in a haystack). Some installers don't grab the tach wire. They set it up to check voltage. Is the security light flashing? If it is could be something with the bypass.
