Hey so I picked up a 1991 t4R about 3 weeks ago. truck runs grate less than 200,000 on engine not sure on AutoTransmission but do know its not the original. I drove it home through the mountains which was 400km+. ran grate, had no issues.
fast forward to today. I was jumping on to the high way, The automatic transmission switched from 1st to second fine bet revved extremely high in 2nd and wouldn't go into 3rd. when I let off on the gas it would drop into N. So I pulled over and it would shift back into 2nd and be fine for a bit. shift into 3rd fine. but then once again 10 min later start doing the same thing once again.
SO i guess what im trying to ask is it a solenoid issue or has my transmission finally kicked the bucket.
