Autozone flasher relay didn't cure LED hyper flash

As the title states I installed a EF 35 flasher relay to fix the hyper flash caused by newly installed LED turn signals, didn't fix it. A T4R.ORG search of the LED hyperflash left me with information overload. I have an 02 Sport with LED turn signals in the front bumper and stock tail lights in the back.

Should I try a relay like this or go with the resisters.

It was a pain to get at the relay so I'll leave it accessible for now. Thanks.

They sold you the wrong relay. It happened to me too. The one you linked is exactly what you need. I picked one up at a local truck/trailer parts store for $12. Just make sure you omit the little adapter piece that should be on the oem relay. At least my 2000 had it anyways.

I don't know if you typed it wrong but you should be looking for Tridon EP-35 not EF 35 I got one from autozone for $9.99 and it worked.

You know what, I may just slow down a take another look at this one. Based on the info I received on my search I asked for a Tridon P.N# EP-35 w/alternate P.N# FL35. I figured the guy at AutoZone would have to look it up but he went right to the rack a pulled a FL35. The flasher in the FL35 packaging was labeled EF35, I figured one and the same, guess not. Thanks guys.

O.K. the EP35 worked, a lot of drama for nothing. Lesson learned, don't assume the guy with the company logo on his shirt knows what he's doing. Thanks.

EP35 doesn't work

I have an Outdoor Logic bumper with LED turn signals and stock rear turn signals. My turn signals are blinking really fast so I did as everyone says and picked up an EP35 relay. I plugged it in, and my turn signals are exactly the same. What am I missing here? I can't get it to work for the life of me. Please let me know how to fix this.

I have the same setup as you, with stock rear lamps and the LEDs from ODL in a 1998 Limited. I used the EP-35 from Autozone and it worked. Be sure your repacling the correct relay.

I used this write-up...

Hope this helps.

Does it have to say LED? Everyone is giving mixed answers here lol

It is def in the right spot. It just does exactly what my stock relay did. Which is blink really fast. My emergency blinkers blink normal. Does it have to be an autozone? Mine was from napa. Or should I just try to get the one that says led on it.
