Aux driving light mounting place

I'm sure this question has been answered before somewhere but I don't have the time to search through many threads to find one that answers my questions.

First of all, piaa 540 driving lights - anyone have any experience with them? Should I even get the 540s at all? 520 ATPs? I know pretty much nothing about wiring, so how hard is it REALLY for someone like me to wire up some? My friend has some of these on his Forester and they look like a pro did them - and he knows next to nothing about wiring either.
Secondly, where do I mount them? I've heard of people putting them directly on the top of the bumper (I have the fat lip style), but I'm worried that they'll shake around on these terrible New Orleans streets.

1. Wiring aux lights is easy.
2. Mounting them to the bumper will be fine. We take our trucks off road all the time and they don't come off. The mean skreets won't hurt them.
3. Get an LED lightbar from amazon. Mine will put a pair of PIAA's to shame.

Do this! if you want a write up let me know. It cost less than $20 to build and doesn't ugly leave holes where you can see them in the bupmer. And as far as lights mine are from ebay, but I know that is a sore subject....

I have the 520 ATPs. Great lights and have only had to replace one bulb. The wiring is easy. PIAA has a pictured diagram in the instructions. Just make yours look like the pic, anyone can do it. You wont need to cut wires or anything.
When I had the stock bumper, I just drilled holes in the top and mounted them on either side of the Toyota emblem. They held tight and never moved or rattled. You won't have a problem.
