Aux Input for stereo for 2000 SR5

I have a 2000 SR5 and am sick of using a tape adapter for my MP3 and XM Inno. There are various aux input adapters by PAC and PIE, Axxess, etc. Does anyone have any luck installing a device like this?
From what I have read, because I dont have a cd changer, I will be able to plug right into the cd changer plugs on the back of the stereo.
Please let me know if you have gone down this road before and can lend some advice. Thanks!

go aftermarket my man, you will be stunned to hear the richness and clarity the factory unit and that POS amp does not put out. Then you are all set to go down the path of speaker upgrades as well.

You can get XM ready head units/HD built in even. Personally I would not throw a dime at a stock Toyota unit, but there are people who frequently will buy them from you to help recoup some of your cost to upgrade.Scan Yota Tech marketplace or even this forum's classifieds...

I bought the cheapest JVC Cd player unit for my MR2 with built in HD radio and aux input on the front face. I'm all about having options and capability.

$99 from Crutchfield- I love those guys for 20 plus years now. Free shipping and wiring and install instructions.

KD-HDR20 I think it is. Spend a bit more and get a true flip down face and loads of other goodies.

The aftermarket options are way too enticing to me to spend a dime upgrading the poor specs you will see out of a stock radio (and the speakers especially- I will sort of spare you my rant on Toyota cheap a$$ Panasonic speakers built of cardboard)
