Auxiliary fuel tank?

Hi, just a question if you guys can help me.

I picked up a 03 4R, SR5 option from someone who worked as a servicing manager at one of the dealerships.

When I test drove it, the seller mentioned that the fuel tank has a capacity of 30 gallons. I wasn't sure of the stock size (thought it was 20 something) so I didn't inquire too much about it other than knowing he had expanded it. Later I just checked up to be sure, it seems it is ~23 gallons.

So now I'm looking into this, I don't see much info about it. Does anyone know about expanded fuel tanks for the 4rs?

Seller had also mentioned he can get ~22-23 mpg highway with it. I was impressed with what he said, but am still skeptical researching about it right now. I thought it was around ~19-20mpg as per fueleconomy.org for the V6 trim.
am I expecting too low?

The tank is 23 gallons. I'm 99% sure all 4th gens have the same size fuel tank.

Depending on many factors, you can expect anywhere from 15 to 23mpg, give or take another mile or two. I've gotten 15mpg in all city driving and 23mpg in all highway. My overall average is about 19-20mpg with about 20% city driving and 80% highway at 70-75mph.

You'll see better mileage around 60-65mph. Once you're over 70, especially at 75-80mph, mileage suffers.

I have a V6 4WD.

doing a search on T-120, they reference a 2008 Prada with 48 gallon US tank. just a thought.

The have a tank like ours along with a tank that sits where our spare goes. It's been reported a diesel Prada goes well over a thousand miles.
