Auxillary in for radio on 05 4runner solution?

I want to know if there is a solution to using an ipod or blackberry to plug the headphone jack from phone into the radio to play audio ? i know there isnt one on the existing unit but is there some type of retrofit from the back of the radio to run out of dash to play my ipod or blackberry music streams???

Which radio do you have? I know in my 05 with nav, I can unplug the RSA and use that port to connect an AUX port to. I don't know where I would put the AUX port though.

I'm kinda looking for something similiar.............anyway, you are going to need something like this:

it plugs into the rear of your unit and provides you with an "aux" input. Search on ebay/amazon, etc and you should find something similiar units.

I installed a PIE TOY03-AUX in my '04 to hook into my MP3's. Gives you an Aux input but not sure if it works with an ipod. Check the link in post #7 in my signature link.

i have a blackberry storm and i want to play streaming internet music in the 4runner . i currently have a 2010 Honda Civic and it has an AUX in at bottom of radio. i plug into that from my phone headphone jack and the sound plays through the radio in car. its still all gets controled from the phone so its just the audio thats coming through car speakers. thats what i want. not sure if this is same thing or not???

Ok, I hear ya, I have an 07 Civic and use the AUX too...........the product in the link actually gives you the controls of your ipod on the factory radio. You want something a lot more simple..........the only thing that comes to mind if you get one of these units but only has an aux input (simple plug instead of an ipod plug)....then get a simple plug for your blackberry (look around, you will/should find something) and connect that. Doesn't sound too difficult.

I just use a tape adapter, but I would like a more elegant solution.
