Avic Z120BT on 2010 Limited

I just had an Avic Z120Bt installed in my 2010 limited and the installer said, he can't hook up the backup camera. Does anyone have a scematic or information to get this done? He said, we may have to do an aftermarket one which I really don't want to have to do since it is already hooked up.

You need to look in the wiring diagrams to find out which wires ,by color, went from the rear camera to the pin(s) in the oem plug that attached to your oem Nav or stereo. Then you need to splice them to a video in or camera in jack that plugs into the back of your Pioneer.

Your installer probably could'nt do it because he did'nt have the wiring diagram that you now have. He needs the diagram for the pin out from the oem nav plug and the wire colors.

Thanks. He did say that if he had a diagram he would be able to do it. I hope it's not too tough of a job.

I'm still trying to figure out the AVIC. I think I'm going to like it but, I'm not sure about how easy it is to use.

Any tips anyone has please feel free to let me know.

Did your installer do the bypass?
Only way to learn it is to read the manual and just play with it. Did you get the ipod cables to hook up an Ipod?It's very intuitive if you've used ipods,ipads or iphones.Touch and flick!
I have a 160GB iPod classic with 30,000 songs on it and ran the ipod wires up into the glove compartment and just leave in in there hooked all the time.

Then I use my iPhone's bluetooth for hand free and it works flawlessly with all my contacts on the screen and even recent call/recieve list. Tell your installer the Axxess AWSC Amazon.com: Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface (Black): Electronics: Reviews, Prices & more is what is needed instead of the PAC-SWI to get the phone buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to work.

Have you guys had people complain about the sound quality with you Bluetooth ? I've had numerous people tell me how bad I sound on it. Any recommendations?

I called a friend the day I got my AVIC-Z120BT installed, she said it sounded really staticky. Not sure what to do with it.

Does anyone know how to get the stock mic to work with the new HU?

As far as the back up cam goes I'm gonna try to splice the back up cam into the HU.
