avic z3 and 4runner urban runner

hey all,
i just had the dealership install the avic z3(apparently new) into my new 4runner.

they just called me and said that my steering wheel controls will not work because they need some type of harness or something to connect the steering wheel controls to the avic z3. apparently this harness doesn't exist yet because the urban runner is so new.

has any1 heard anything like this?

any1 have an avic in an urban runner?

its bullshit, you need a SWI-PAC...look on cruthcfield for it, it requires some pretty in-depth programming; however

ok i just talked to the installer and he says he needs a way to program the swi-pac.

im assuming the pac swi-?? is the harness thingy and he needs to program it?

yes that is correct, IDK how to program it.....why are you having the toyota dealer do this anyway?

should have brought it to someone who does this

anyway...idk what to tell the dealer about programming it
