I'm a newbie when it comes to nav systems, so I aplogize if this question is a basic one. I've got my eye on the Eclipse AVN5435 nav unit and I'm curious to know what happens when you venture off-road with it. I like to explore a lot of backcountry 4WD trails, most of which probably aren't on the DVD map. Does anyone know if the unit will at least display GPS coordinates and a rudimentary map, or is the unit rendered useless? I know Acura's factory nav unit will display 'bread crumbs' to help you find your way out if you get lost, but I know nothing about Eclipse's system. Thanks.
