AVS Rain Guards on 1st Gen?

I know this is a lame thread, but my 1st gen is my daily driver, and man when it rains in this thing, it pours. I am getting soaked. It seems as though water comes right at the middle of my chest lol.

(Before you say I am an idiot, I normally drive with my windows down in mild rain without issue, but with this truck its not possible lol).

I looked through the 1st Gen picture thread sticky, but cannot find anyone rocking the AVS stick-on rain guards.

Before spending 45 bucks...I would like to know that they do not have fitment issues, or they don't have some sort of problem.

I am not a fan of in-channels. I just want to know who has stick ons, if they work correctly, and most importantly:

I have them on my 4runner. They were on it when I bought it stock about 3 years ago. They seem to fit pretty well and work good. They were nice in the rain because you could leave the window cracked for airflow, but not get soaked. I broke the bottom of mine off on a tree so it doesn't tend to work as well now. Also if you're tall you may scrape you head on them wheeling if your stick your head out the window.

Thanks Tinman those pictures are perfect. I wanted to make sure they mounted along the recessed trim of the door. Sometimes these things can look goofy on newer vehicles, especially when they mount on a painted surface or rounded body surface. They look right at home on the 4 runner though. I am 6ft tall and they will be in my line of sight looking out the windows but I guess thats life. The water just pours in when it rains with these first gens.
