AWD 4R non SR5?

I saw one today that looked identical to an SR5 but had no SR5 badge. Then on the rear lift gate handle it had a small "4Runner" with a square badge badge beside it with "AWD" Is this some imported variation?

Badges are easy to pop off an place on a vehicle. Did you snap a pic?

yeah but poor photo as we were not close at a traffic light. I would have posted it, but it could be in the neighborhood so I will see if I can. It looked OEM though, the rear badges that is.

Could it be a Canadian model? There are differences, but I'm not sure if AWD on an SR5 is one of them.

Probably someone doing it for looks or regret that they didn't buy the trim they wanted.
It used to drive me crazy on my old Nitro forum when guys would put SRT 8 badges all over their trucks. Not only did the Nitro never come in an SRT trim, it was never even offered with anything but a V6.
The things some people will do for looks.

AWD? So they gutted a perfectly good 4 Wheel Drive system to chuck in a FWD motor and crappy add-on system? What waste of a perfectly good 4Runner. Should have just got a Highlander, or better yet a Rav4.
