Awwww. My first rattle driving me insane.

Noticed tonight while in the drive thru that when I am in drive and move my wheel I get a tinny type rattle for about 3 seconds. Straighten the wheel out and it I get again. Wierd thing now, I put it in park and I get nothing. So it seems to be at a really low rpm. There and then gone.

Where do you hear it coming from?

It's hard to tell. Either right underneath me or up front. Like I said it only does it on drive when I am stopped and have my foot on the brake. Put it in park and the rpms come up slightly and I get nothing. Buts it's a tinny sound, like a heat shield.

The dealership did. Why? It does not seem like a brake noise though. It's got to be rpm related and only happens at idle in gear

When mine did that it was the heat shield and it really was right under me. I no longer have heat shields.

Heat shield or skid plate. Crael under it and rap on things with your hand until you find it.

Exhaust. There are quite a few and one is right under the driver's seat.

Same thing happened to me...the rattle drove me nuts. There's a clamp on the back side of the catalytic converter (keeps the pipe snug in the converter) that snapped at the bolt...it slid down the pipe a couple of inches and sat there rattling.

It's a dealer part, but isn't very expensive.

Hah. Im going nuts because my limited DOESN'T rattle. I'm so used to my first gen from driving it so long. :music:
