Ok I've had it... I've tried, pushed, pulled, jiggled, cursed... and Still cant seem to get my axles back into my differential! I had my bearings replaced at a local shop. I have the axleshaft, with the drum break backing plate attached. It comes about one inch too short. I can't even tell if it's going all the way on the teeth inside the differential. Anyone else ever have this problem??? Help!!

I had the same exact problem. It goes in except for the last inch or so. Take a file and clean the teeth on the axle. Just go in between each one. Mine looked ok but I guess the machine shop did something when they had it clamped or something. After i cleaned them up with a file it went in with just a little tapping.
