I updated the original post to show the correct sliders with kick outs. After the group buy ended we found out Jerry had changed the design slightly.

Attention:

For those with Limited 4Runners, 35's and spacers - The sliders are 68" long and don't leave much room. Your spacers kick out your turning radius and will come in contact when flexed at mid to full lock. I suggest you contact him to cut them down to about 67"-67.5" for just a little extra room. Also, unless you specify with Jerry, the legs are at a 20* angle. If you're getting the kickout, I suggest you ask him to do a 10* angle to avoid having to grind down the flare molding on your back doors. They come in contact with the kickout porting of the sliders. Don't let this deter you from ordering these, they are great sliders. They just need some kinks worked out.

Yeah the kickout issue sucks (not Jerry's fault). I think 10* for a 1" body lift and probably 15* for a 2".

No they shouldn't. The problem with the Limited flares is that they are square at the bottom and stick out further than the other flares. The squareness is what causes the problem and interferes with the door opening and the kickout. Jerry will mock them up before to make sure and adjust accordingly. I wouldn't worry about it.

Might as well. It's 20% off, which won't come around for a while. They will be very beneficial for you since you have a shorter lift than most and they double as steps and parking lot protection.


Just a note: Jerry may be adjusting the sliders a bit, but nothing drastic, just possibly shortening them and lowering the angle they are set at.

Here is a couple more pictures. Only one guy has gotten filler plates and he doesn't have any real direct pictures of them. I believe them come with the dimples as in the pic you provided.

Yeah its a Demello Offroad. Unfortunately they don't make them for 3rd gens, but probably would as a custom product.

Don't you have a Sport? With no body lift it would have been 2-3 inches off the rear flare. Probably different with the sport flares as they are rounded, not square. The lower the angle won't look bad and you probably wouldn't notice the difference. Plus they act better as a step.

I have a 2000 Highlander..... Sport... or whatever....

This is what I'm working with. Are these flares different than the limited? Obviously I don't have cladding....

I'm going to have Jerry install them so I'd like to give him a heads up. And I also want to do whatever will work the best.

Here is a post I just sent to another member who had questions about the Sport/SR5 and Limited flare questions.

The difference is in the flare portion of the rear door. The flare and cladding on the Limited is on piece on the rear door and sticks out much further than the sport/SR5 flares. Also to make the running boards look seemless on the Limiteds they made the flare like a box at the bottom. This allowed it to flow right into the running boards, for a cleaner look. Unfortunately this feature causes the flare to stick out mu further than the sport/sr5 counterparts and causes issues with the kickout. Without a body lift you would have to remove at least 2-3 inches off the flare for it to work at 20*.

The Sport/SR5 flares are rounded at the bottom and flow back towards the body of the vehicle. This eliminates most of the issues the Limited flares were having and allows the extra clearance needed for the kickout.
