Can someone confirm that the bolt-on version uses existing holes in the frame? I want bolt-on sliders but don't want to drill the frame.

I looked at the frame on my runner and sorry to say but our sliders aren't going to be able to bolt on using existing holes. There simply isn't enough places and the few holes that are there are too small.

How many coats of prismatic powder are used & are these painted/coated in house. Are they baked.
Are there mounting plates welded to the legs. Are there any photos of the legs welded to a frame. Do we need to grind away powdercoat to weld.

Jerry does the powder coating so i don't know how many coats he does. Yes all powder coating is done in house. Yes everything is baked on and pre-baked. Bolt on sliders have legs fully welded on. Weld on sliders the plates are shipped with them. Bolt ons are completely powder coated. Weld on leaves about 1-2 inches at the end of the legs to be welded on then painted after install.

Thank you for the response. Checking with a local prismatic powder dealer to select my color, they mention prismatic is the best powdercoating to use for this application. I'll send some additional photos other than what has been reviewed in my build for my bushwacker flare concern.

I media blast with a 30/40 Garnet then pre bake at 425 for about an hour to off gas the sliders then I shoot them with a 2 to 3mil coat of powder and bake to NIC specs. weld on sliders will have the frame plates lose so you can set your gap better. Bolt on 4runner sliders have not be built yet but they would be fully powdered.

The bolt on sliders have not been built for the 4runners but I don't think it's going to happen as a no drill install. If you want us to build you some that bolt without drilling we can but they may not be strong enough to handle being hit on the rocks or picking the truck up with a HI-lift.

I emailed Jerry earlier this week with a question. He said "the sliders are about 2 weeks out." I don't know where I am on the list, but I do know I got in on the group buy less than 12 hrs before the deadline. So I assume I'm close to the end of the list.

Sorry guys we are very busy right now Eric has just about every set built they just need legs welded on then we can start shipping. As for the powder coated orders I'm going to try and PC them this weekend. 8sm can you PM me the color you wanted to go with so i can order it?

Hi JLee, I thought you had a post somewhere on the best way to paint these. I didn't see it on the first page of this post or on TW.

I was thinking of self etching primer and then a few coats of paint from there.

They look great by the way, can't wait to get started on these!
