[B] How to clean undercarriage?[/B]

What is the best way to clean the undercarriage of my 95 runner? After it is clean, I would like to spray it with a protectant. Is it worth doing? Is it cost effective? The reason I've thought of doing this is just for the looks, but if it will also help protect my 95 from decay I think its worth it. Thanks for any suggestions.

Simple green? I know it works well on engine bays....
I would look into some rubberized spray on coating which will reduce corrosion AND road noise..... i wanna do this myself

Yea I was also told by a friend to try "Purple Power". I know this stuff is very strong and may coroid some parts if not careful, so simple green may be the way to go. I wish I had a lift that I could jack my runner up with and pressure the underneath.

has the truck seen alot of snow/salt or beach/salt?

No and actually it looks pretty good for her age and would like to preserve whats there. I do live on the coast so has potential of seeing some salt air. I will post a pic tomorrow.
