Just contemplating on cleaning the fuel injectors with carb spray or brake clean. I did it to my 92 Geo Prizm (Have been using gum out) and outcome is amazing.. very smooth engine and faster acceleration with 27 MPG in the 100% city. It used to be about 23 MPG before. With the 10-11 MPG in my 3rd gen, I am seriously considering this cleaning. Will install two new O-rings per injector (both identical O rings) available at the dealer $4 a piece!
Things I noticed when cleaning the injectors on my Prizm. Before: cleaning fluid dripped out. After: Cleaning fluid came out as two steady streams. I backflushed as well. Hoping for the best.. Any one have any suggestions?
