Used v8 supercharger for 2003 4runner. Used 1 year. Need to sell, no longer using my 4runner and it is on the block as well. I'm asking $3500, but first reasonable offer will take it. Everything is included.

This was Biffs unit, which he had no problems with. The day after I bought it, I was re-assigned at work where I can make better use of a pick up truck, so I'm selling this, as well as trading in the 4runner. Talk about bad timing!

honestly i would love to get the supercharger but I dont know enough and I am afraid it will hurt the engine over time, is this true? and also i assume i would have to have it installed by a dealer to keep the warranty right?

I had a supercharger on my 2000 4runner, and had no issues with it, or the reliability of it, which is why I was so gung ho abouot getting one for this truck. I would recommend a dealer install if possible, as that would allow the extended warranty to cover it, as well as the factory warranty of 5 years 60 k. Plus, there are a lot of steps, but nothing too complex.

Keep it and buy a used Tundra

Then you could have a supercharged iforce Tundra, thats what I would do anyway, thats if you want a really badass truck anyways?

Nice thought, except the 05 has the vvti engine, which will not take the supercharger, and the 06 should have the larger engine, possibly 5.0 or 5.4 l. Supposedly will make the Titan look like a childs truck.
I'm also looking at the 250 super duty 6.0 turbo diesel.

What do you guys think about support for this...since TRD stopped production does that mean they do not support this anymore? Thats what i am afraid of.

But.. just because TRD doesn't sell it anymore, doesn't mean that they don't warranty their past products.

TRD will support these, as they are under warranty. As for the ones on ebay, I contacted them, and they seem cofused about the ecu, as they believe that one ecu will fit all the vehicles listed, and have no clue about part numbers. So I don't know if its a crap shoot as far as the ecu goes, or if you need a unichip to use them, but they are not a toyota dealer. Mine is complete, not like those. As for the exhaust, its too much trouble to swap for the few hundred bucks I'd get. If no one wants a supercharger after all the crying about not being able to get one, I can't imagine there being much of a market for a used exhaust that is readily available on ebay for 619$. Sorry.

I am just making sure, i would rather ask questions now than later...i dont want anything f-ed up....i would love to buy the supercharger from you but i dont think the warranty transfers since it is not the original owner...i dont mean to be a biatch but this isnt a small investment

I agree with you. I do remember seeing a post a few months back, and it could've been on the tundra board, where a member did put a used supercharger on their truck, and it was covered by warranty. I'll do a search to see if I can locate that thread. It is an investment, I agree, so I'm not offended. I just would've preferred the ebay post off my ad post. no harm though

Try this, not sure if it came out. It seems his issue was the supercharger was not for a tundra, at least this one is for your truck.
