Back from the Body Shop!

Just got my car back today!:biggrin2: it took a total of 20 days, I tried for a sport hood but they were backordered for 3 weeks. All OEM Parts too.

That came out really well. Do you remember how much the sport hood cost? I really want one.

It looks clean.
It seems like the body shop has replaced the front bumper, hood, and left front fender. Was there a damage to the frame? I'm guessing that it would cost around $8,000 to restore that damage.

They did a good job and the only thing that I have noticed so far is that they put on the drivers side door panel wrong, which I promptly fixed. There was no frame damage.

They replaced the hood, radiator, radiator support, both headlights, drivers side quarter panel, Body electrical fuse/relay box, air box (Have to do another Deck Plate mod), Front bumper, AC Lines and condenser, & many other little things.

It totaled up to $8444.28 so good guess

The hood was $340.28 direct from toyota

$340 is kinda steep. I'm going to have to decide if it is really worth that to me.

Damn! $8,444? I didn't even pay that much for mine! The limited models must be very much nicer to have not been totaled at such a price.

That is alot for a hood, you might try looking for one in a junkyard, and I do not know if it came painted or not. I found one that is not painted for $129.72 not OEM but OE replacement Sport Hood

For it to be totaled it would have had to cost $13,856.00, If it was totaled it was valued at $19,785.00

Thanks for the link man. For some reason they didn't have a sport hood for a '98. I wonder how much it would cost to have it painted.
