Back window clunk...

Usually when the big back window goes down I hear a couple of clunk sounds. It moves smoothly and goes up and down perfectly, should I be concerned?

Welcome to the forum! Mine does this too. I wouldn't worry about it. Every once in a while it will not go down all the way. Only not going down by like a centimeter. Then once it does, it'll make that noise. My guess is there is something inside the hatch that gets caught on it. My runner was hit in the rear before I had it. So I dont expect the window to always work perfect.

Anyway, I see your in Chattanooga? Bout time more people from here join! Any pics of your rig?

Ok thanks for the reply. No pics yet, just got it a week ago so I'm still checking everything mechanical out then onto cosmetic.

Congrats on the new runner. What area of Chattanooga are you from?

i removed my rear license plate plastic holder that says 4runner to remove some surface rust and my window started doing that after i put everything back together probably nothing to worry about.

IF you ever see the size of the gears for the back window you would see why it is so loud, I will take a picture and post it up sometime.
