Backpack baby carrier recommenedations

I'm looking for a baby carrier. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with carriers like this?

Are you just looking for a good carrier, or are you looking for something that looks specifically like a backpack, like the one you linked? We have tried several and the Ergo is by far our favorite, very comfortable for long periods of time:

I have a Kelty and you cnanot go wrong with them. You should check out your local Craigslist ads. This is something I would buy used unless you cna find a sale for the new ones. REI has quarterly 20% off deals for members.

The Deuer may breathe on your back a bit better and keep you slightly cooler. Both are very comfy. I like that Toughtraveler is a local company making everything in-house. They are very nice people (easygoing too) and their carriers last a long time, so a pretty good value. I have one of those. I think the TT carries heavier loads better and lets you drop in a "dog perch" if you wat to cary a small dog around.

Can anyone recommend a baby Carriers that is comfortable and lightweight for doing housework? I need it for my 1 month old baby boy.

This is the one we have Phil & Ted Metro. One of the best purchases we've made (along with the BOB). We've used this carrier all over the place... streets of Rome, countless trips on the Tube and around town in London and now in Denver. It's a quality product that has worked very well for us. I'm 6'3" and my wife is 5'2" and it fits both of us. Our son enjoyed the view, could spend hours in it without getting antsy, and would even fall asleep after a while.
