Backspacing Question

Ok, I'm looking at getting a set of wheels, but I am a total noob when it comes to backspacing. Can someone please help me with the difference between these two? They'll be going on my stock height Limited 4x4 with stock sized Nittos until I lift it next year. Thanks in advance.

The only difference in the two from the info i can see would be the positive offset on one wheel and the negative offset on another.

The positive offset will put your wheel closer to the vehicle, while the negative offset will put your wheel further out from the wheel well giving a wider stance.

As far as backspacing, here is a quick equation you can use...
Wheel width ÷ 2 + offset + ½” = Backspacing

So to answer your backspace question... the one with +7 offset will have 5.03" of backspace and the one with -6 will have 4.51" of backspace.

My opinion (for the better look) is to go with the -6 offset for better stance without the wheel sticking too far out to have to make major modifications (Body mount chop, etc.)

I've read through there and can't get a clear understanding on backspacing and offset. Hence, why I'm asking. Also, I could give two shits about your opinion on wheels. If you don't like my thread, move on...:flipoff:

If you dont want opinions how about not posting on a public forum?

Thank you for the clarification. This is the type of feedback I was looking for.

Was I asking for opinions? I was asking for information on offset and backspacing. Move the **** on already... Obviously you're just here to troll...
