Got a letter from Toyota today stating they are extending the warranty on the 2004 4runner backup cameras to 6 years no milage limit. They claim that a connection may come loose failing the unit. They also claim they will refund for repairs that were done after standard warranty expiration.

Refund Check!
The backup camera on my 04 Limited went out last October. The dealer replaced it for a "reduced price" of $511, stating that Toyota picked up the rest (suppsosedly the repair cost was over $800 with parts and labor - who knows).
I received the warranty leter a few weeks ago and sent in my invoice from last year along with proof of ownership and a nicelyy composed letter.
Today I received a refund check form Toyota for $511.
Way to go Toyota!
