Backup camera wiring?? 4th gen

So I installed a backup cam over the weekend. Did some searching on here and found a post telling which wire is used for the reverse gear sensing wire. Someone said it was a yellow wire w/ red stripe in the driverside kick panel. I hooked up the wire, but the cam stays on all the time, doesn't just come on when in reverse. I have a pioneer AVH-p4200.
Am I using the wrong wire for reverse sensing? In the pioneer menu there are two options, one for ground polarity and one for battery polarity

I - FINALLY - hooked up my backup cam over the weekend. It's a Kenwood CCD-2000 hooked to a Kenwood DNX8120. One guy on the board here had a very old post, and he came out 2 years later to answer I question for me, even reposted pics! Very helpful and appreciated!

I tapped into the reverse wire under the driver side sill, the plate on the floor under the door that hides the cables running to the rear. The wire is more red with a yellow stripe and is in the larger bundle. It is only hot when in reverse.

In the door sill huh? Does your cam only come on when you hit reverse now?

yes, the camera comes on only when in reverse.

it's a red wire with yellow stripe. I tapped into it under the driver door sill. If you pop that plate, you will see two bundles of cables..it is in the larger bundle and runs back to the lamp group in the rear. You can see the red/yellow stripe wire terminate in the lamp group connector, upper left when looking straight at the pins when disconnected from the lamp at the terminal inside the popout door in the cargo bay.

maybe I should explain that I hooked up the camera power from the area under the cigarette lighter plug and descent control button. I have a power bus there to handle my 2-way radios, so it was easier to connect the camera power there, and as the camera cable runs from the DNX8120 to there, run the reverse sensor cable and camera cable from that point to the door sill.

am having trouble troubleshooting the problem on my reverse cam..it was fixed by a techie, so i gotta figure this out my self. it just quit working 1 day..i have opened the back and attached is the picture of the wiring.am interested in the blue cablehighlighted with yellow circle...can some1 who has opened his rear cover confirm what that cable is for?

Look like it's a ground cable.
