Bad Bluetooth with JVC stereo in 4Runner.

This is more of an aftermarket stereo question but just thought I'd try here. We have an aftermarket Bluetooth JVC dual-DIN stereo with both an Android and Apple phone paired to it. Works great except for one VERY ANNOYING issue: when you get in and start-up, it rarely connects the media link to either phone. Most of the time you at least have to turn the Bluetooth (on your phone) off & on and sometimes dive into the settings and manually turn the media link on. If you unpair (delete it, not just turn the Bluetooth off) one of the phones, then it works great for the remaining phone (will allow you to start a podcast almost immediately).

I'm certain this is a stereo issue because it does the same thing when we upgraded our phones.

Here's my question (because I'm not wasting ANY more time trying to fix this): give me a recommendation on an aftermarket dual-DIN stereo (Alpine, Kenworth, Pioneer, etc.) with the model number that will be FULLY FUNCTIONAL (automatically connect Bluetooth phone AND media with at least two phones paired to it) when you get in and start the car. Doesn't have to be fancy, no GPS or high-end sound system. We mostly use it for podcasts.

Try removing all devices

I have a JVC HU as well. Had 3 devices and it rarely worked. Deleted all and started over and works great now. Only using 1 device, not sure about using 2 though.

A Kenworth stereo may not fit in your dash, at least not as well as a Kenwood.

I have a similar issue with my Kenwood DDX373BT. I believe JVC & Kenwood are the same company so no big surprise there. Thing is, the sound is great but there are a number of irritating issues like this so I wouldn't buy another Kenwood.
